The first thing I tried was replacing the hall sensor on my LG washer. It was a quick and inexpensive repair. This didn't work. I took the washer apart again and noticed a loose wire from the motor wiring harness. I ordered a new wiring harness, replaced it and put it back together. This time it seems to be working. Honestly, I don't know if I may have accidentally broken the wire when replacing the hall sensor but it is possible. It is also possible that the wiring harness was the problem all along. In any case for about $50 (all in) I was able to fix my washing machine. I had one quote to replace the hall sensor alone was going to be $295. For $50 it was worth the effort. Thanks to Appliance Pros for their quick and easy purchase of the parts.
