After googling the error, the recommendation was to replace both the rotor position switch sensor and motor wiring harness. Appliance Parts Pros was awesome, ordered the parts on a Friday morning and they arrived Saturday afternoon the next day allowing me to fix the washer the same weekend. Since this was the second fault (the drain pump needed to be replaced 3 weeks earlier) I wasn't sure if it was the board or not. The repair was simple only needing to take off the back cover and a few bolts.
