Dara K Louisville , KY May 09, 2015 Lg tromm wouldn't spin I called a repairman. He said it would be $ 650 to replace the motherboard and a leaky water valve. I decided that amount was ridiculous so I looked up the parts online at AppliancePartsPros.com, watched some YouTube videos on how to the repair and fixed it myself. It took less than 30 mins. Total cost: $182.00 The repairman told me the water valve part alone cost $180 dollars and then $70 to put it in for me. I asked him if I could order the part myself and he said "No, you have to be authorized to order these parts" Anyway, that part actually cost $14.92. I am a 45 year old woman and have never fixed any appliance before in my life, but I replaced the water valve and the motherboard by myself. For someone that always do their own repairs, this might not seem like a big deal, but for me it was a huge accomplishment and I'm feeling proud.
