Scott C Brandon , FL July 18, 2015 No power so no error code I originally heard a loud pop and nothing was lit up on the display screen. No power was coming through and manual said it was either noise filter or control board. Checked to see if power was still coming through filter and it was so, had to be control board. Very simple to replace. 4 or 5 screws and a couple of clips. Happy to have the washer working again. Read More... Dara K Louisville , KY May 09, 2015 Lg tromm wouldn't spin I called a repairman. He said it would be $ 650 to replace the motherboard and a leaky water valve. I decided that amount was ridiculous so I looked up the parts online at AppliancePartsPros.com, watched some YouTube videos on how to the repair and fixed it myself. It took less than 30 mins. Total cost: $182.00 The repairman told me the water valve part alone cost $180 dollars and then $70 to put it in for me. I asked him if I could order the part myself and he said "No, you have to be authorized to order these parts" Anyway, that part actually cost $14.92. I am a 45 year old woman and have never fixed any appliance before in my life, but I replaced the water valve and the motherboard by myself. For someone that always do their own repairs, this might not seem like a big deal, but for me it was a huge accomplishment and I'm feeling proud. Read More... Phil H Elgin , IL October 10, 2014 Appliance: Model LG WM2277HW Le error would intermittently stop wash in mid cycle Stated with the most common problem, the Hall effect sensor. Intermittent LE error continued. Next, replaced the motor wiring harness, same thing. Replacing the main board seems to have done the trick, Over a week with no failure. Most difficult part of the job was getting the 4 mounting feet to properly engage the slots in the sheet metal. After that just a matter of plugging in all the connectors. What with colorcoding, shape of the different harnesses, and different shaped connectors, this was unambiguous. You may need to disconnect the ground wires screwed to the chassis in this area for clearance and cable slack. You did unplug the machine before you started, right ? An intermittent failure like this can be one of the hardest diagnoses you will ever make, just don't give up. Read More...
