I started looking at new dishwashers and was quickly disheartened with the cost of these simple machines. There's really not much to them and yet they're so much money for what they do. I popped off the pump and took a look at it and cleared some "gunk" and hair out but it didn't fix the issue. Jumped on AppliandPartsPros.com and ordered the pump on a Friday night and had the part in hand Tuesday night after work.
Took about 10 minutes total (dishwasher out and back installed, literally in 10 minutes) and used a philips screwdriver to swap out pumps and for about 1/10th of the price for a new dishwasher, it's working nearly silent again.
