After spending some time the previous weekend unloading the freezer and climbing in to see where the problem was I determined that the motor on the ice maker was faulty. It was not until the Friday after the weekend did I get a chance to place the order to have the assembly delivered. This was after a call to a local appliance parts store and getting a price quote for a price $30 higher. For the price I ordered it and was going to take my chances on the speed of delivery. To my surprise placing the order on Friday the part was delivered on Saturday using normal shipping. Since I knew what needed to be replaced I removed enough food from the freezer to access the old assembly and replace it with the new one.
We now have ice ready to fill coolers.
