Frigidaire 5303918493 Freezer Ice Maker OEM Part

Replaced ice maker .it worked out great it work fine now

After spending some time the previous weekend unloading the freezer and climbing in to see where the problem was I determined that the motor on the ice maker was faulty. It was not until the Friday after the weekend did I get a chance to place the order to have the assembly delivered. This was after a call to a local appliance parts store and getting a price quote for a price $30 higher. For the price I ordered it and was going to take my chances on the speed of delivery. To my surprise placing the order on Friday the part was delivered on Saturday using normal shipping. Since I knew what needed to be replaced I removed enough food from the freezer to access the old assembly and replace it with the new one. We now have ice ready to fill coolers.

Ordered the part from appliance parts pros which arrived in two days no less. Found a YouTube video that detailed the entire process and finished the repair in 30 minutes.

Troubleshot the problem 1. Rotated the main gear to start the cycle 2. Tray filled but did not dump the ice Most likely the ice maker thermastat was bad. Replaced entire unit in 25 minutes Took another 1/2 hour to reinstall the shelves and reallign the freezer door. Producing ice as we speak.

I replaced the ice maker. It would have been nice if there was a picture of how the ice maker sat on a bracket in my Electrolux freezer and all I had to do is remove one screw from the bracket and pull it to me. (rather than taking off the door and all trays like I did.). The ice maker then was mountable on the small bracket and very easily reinstalled. I also had to pull away the cable mount at the back, not remove it but pull it down, that seemed odd to me but it worked. Some instructions would have been nice! In the box the instructions are just about the metal ice control switch...
