John G Lake Oswego , OR February 23, 2019 The lower heating element had quite working in a 40 + year old Whirlpool drop in stove oven Remember to always turn the power off first! Removed the oven door (easy). Two screws and element was out and new one in. Opted to replace the power leads that came with the element. Uninstalled the appliance from the cabinet and removed the back to get access to the element power leads. Cut last 3 inches off existing P/Ls and attached one end to the element, the other to the P/Ls with provided wire nuts. Reinstalled the back and put the appliance back in the cabinet. DONE after turning the breaker back on! Note: I had rebuild the appliance before, so I knew what I was doing. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
