My Maytag Centennial Washer is only a few years old and the spin cycle stopped working. It would not spin out the clothes or wash right because it was not spinning correctly. The lid also would not lock. I just want to say Thank You to all who have posted similar problems because I was able to self-diagnose the problem. It ended up being the shift actuator. Thanks to Appliance Parts Pro I ordered the part and it came the very next day with regular shipping!!!!! They also supplied a video as to how to replace the part. I am female, but pretty handy. I was so excited this was something I could do on my own and not hire/pay someone to do. I was able to self-diagnose and replace the part within one day thanks to online stories of the same and Appliance Parts Pros. SO EASY!!!
