I read other people's suggestions while waiting for the package to arrive. So when I got it in the mail, I had an idea what to do.
I realized that trying to control 2 small plastic balls and apply force to move the lid in place might be slightly frustrating. So I did my repair a little differently.
I grabbed the scotch tape and taped both small balls to the dents in the lid. I placed the lid with the left ball in place and then slid the whole lid back toward the panel and snapped it into place.
I then lifted the lid and removed the scotch tape.
Less than 2 minutes to install!!!!!
