A part was missing from a dishwasher purchased from a company that was going out of business. When the electrician tried to install it, he found that it was missing a critical, proprietary part that connected the power to the unit. They found an obscure diagram that showed the part, identified the part, and tracked it down for me. The part was priced reasonably and shipped quickly. Highly recommended.
