Bobby M Shelbyville , KY December 24, 2018 Appliance: Model MAYTAG DE212 Motor locked up The motor locked up on my 30-year-old dryer . It burned the belt into. I installed a new motor and pulley. I did not really have to replace the pulley but I wanted to anyway. The motor was not identical replacement but the wiring was no problem to hook up. I checked the ilder and roller bearings to make sure it was OK . Replaced the belt and tried the dryer. The dryer worked perfectly. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
