I followed all the troubleshooting steps found on the website. I even used email and chat, both were responded to very quickly and with great information. I ordered the repair part kit AP3109602, Blower wheel AP6017167, and motor AP3094233. The videos showed that sometimes the Blower wheel can break during dis-assembly so i ordered it proactively. The Motor was also ordered as a precaution, and i was told that i could return it if it was not needed, IT WAS.
Though my model differed from the video it was pretty easy to figure out the dis-assembly procedure and i photographed and logged all wires and bolts that i removed. i was able to determine that the idler pulley had frozen and that the motor was bad. (using the chat system i was told of the motor testing procedure and an email copy of the instructions was sent right out to me) I followed the video instructions on changing the motor, idler wheel, drum rollers and belt. I will say that the tri-rings are MUCH harder to remove and replace than the video makes it seem.
Having a set of nut drivers made this job so much easier. along with the help of APP support staff. After replacing all parts, panels and wires my dryer fired right back up, and was even quieter than i remember it.
