Since I did replace the subject part a couple of times before, I felt comfortable doing it again. Turned off the electric power to the oven, used a screw driver to remove the two screws securing the element to the wall of the oven, pulled the two electric connectors from the damaged element plugged in the new element and secured the new element to the wall of the oven with the same two screws. Turned the electric power back on and was back into baking.
