DISCONECT POWER AT BREAKER When disconnecting the old element it's important to hold the spade connector with needle nose pliers as you pull the element out and expose the connection.The back of the oven is filled with insulation and causes a resistance on the wire .If the spade connector pulls off it will snap back through the hole into the insulation them you will have to fish it out of there and probably have to pull the range out. Simple fix 3/8 wrench remove two bolts ,disconnect /reconnect spade connector s one at a time to new element ,replace two bolts.Done.
