James N Folly Beach , SC July 20, 2014 Oven temperature sensor mal functioning (error code f 4) Pull stove away from wall Remove part of back cover, top left side, to expose where it's plugged in. Plugs matched. Didn't have to cut it off and wire nut them back together. Unplugged sensor. Discovered the 2 screws that hold the sensor are on the INSIDE of the oven. Remove oven racks. Spray screws with WD-40. Remove sensor. BUT first: tie a string to the plug of the old sensor, slowly remove leaving some of the string hanging out the back of the stove. Remove string from old sensor and attach to new sensor plug wire. Use string to pull wire through back of oven. Screw in sensor, plug in, replace cover in back, you're done. 21 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
