How to replace Control Board Assembly. I went to run the dishwasher but it did not start and there were no panel lights. I checked and confirmed the circuit breaker had not tripped. I unplugged the power cord and removed the interior door panel to see if I could determine the problem. Note, when you remove the cover panel, the door will not stay open as there is less weight on it, so it is necessary to put something to keep it down. I used a small 1 lb plastic-coated dumbbell. I noted an electrical smell and saw some discoloration on a part of the control board. I carefully unplugged all the connectors, taking pictures before so I could tell where they went, but they are pretty easy to figure out. I then removed several screws holding the board and pried the tabs holding it in place. The back of the board clearly has a section shorted out and needed to be replaced. AppliancePartsPros.com. has the best price and I ordered a new Control Board Assembly. It arrived within a couple of days. I put it back carefully, reconnected all the plugs and closed and screwed in the door panel. Plugged the power cord, and ran a rinse cycle to check the function. Everything worked again. Yay.
