One of these cords snapped on my dishwasher door, it would have cost over $100 to fix. I replaced both of them and kept the one that didn't snap (but was showing signs of wear) as a back up (taped it to the outside of the dishwasher) all for less than $20.
The toughest part is disconnecting and reconnecting the dishwasher, the replacement itself is really easy.
