To empty the machine I removed the hose panel and let the drain hose hang lower than the pump.
Removed the boot from the tub (its easier to replace a hose clamp with a screw than the spring clamp on the pump, plus I could clean the boot). Removed the drain hose, twisted the old pump off the base, removed the bag and 2 wiring harnesses. Switched over the sensor from the old pump to the new one and put it in the opposite of removal.
