Daniel D South Jordan , UT October 06, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH5500BWW Washer displayed error code and would not drain properly or complete a wash cycle I looked up the error code on the internet and determined that the drain pump had failed. I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video on how to replace this part, ordered a new pump and installed it myself in less than 30 minutes. This was an easy job that saved me the price of a service call, at least one hour of labor, and perhaps a markup on the part--probably around $200.00 total. Aaron O Waynesville , MO July 13, 2014 "nd" code ! Googled Maytag "nd" code and read up on some forums about possible issues. Obviously it was a No Drain problem, but what part to order and fix? Watched a video pull it all apart, no obvious blockage and water could be cycled thru the pump so I ordered the switch first....NO GO, still didn't work. Ordered the new pump and since I had removed and reinstalled pump like 5 times already doing it again with new pump was easy! On to fixing other things in the house!
