Wayne C Fort Collins , CO January 13, 2020 Appliance: Model JES9800JES1 Range oven over heating error code 1d11 I replaced the oven sensor first (should have tested the old one, but my 40-year-old multimeter died!) The new probe didn't fix it, so I suspected the circuit board. I got this confirmed by the helpful and knowledgeable technician that I spoke with on the phone. The new board came and it took less than an hour to install in a Jenn-Air JES9800JAC1. I needed to slide it out a couple of inches and remove about 6 screws, tip the front panel down, unplug the board and remove, then reinstall. I then reassembled and tested. Previously the broiler (top) element came on, but it didn't with the new circuit board, so I was fairly confident. The oven heated correctly with no error message. I was quoted a price of "between $500-$600" for the board by phone from a local repair company, and this way I had no labor costs or service call charge! While I was at it, I replaced the oven door gasket while in repair mode, so we should be in good shape for a while. My wife says the cleaner they sold me is better than what she had been using, too. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
