Nancy V Newport Beach , CA November 06, 2015 Appliance: Model 795.77553600 Refrigerator light was buring constantly generating excessive heat (2 60 watt bulbs) and melting plastic parts Was able to diagnose problem at AppliancePartsPros.com by entering the model #. This is apparently a common problem with this Refrigerator Replaced Light Socket Assembly, Lamp Reflector, Lamp Case and Lamp Cover. Also replaced the main circuit board (not sure if this was necessary). The wiring on the Light Socket Assembly was different than the original, so it was a bit confusing how to assemble it, and no screws were provided to attach it to the Lamp Reflector - figuring this out took most of my time, otherwise it would have been 45 minutes. I also replaced the bulbs with new LED bulbs. By the way after ordering the necessary parts, I checked prices at Sears.com - saved approximately 20% by buying at Appliance Parts Pros. Placed order on Sunday afternoon, parts were delivered on Tuesday afternoon. 25 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
