Heated new door seal with hair dryer to make more pliable. Unhooked all the door shelves with food items and set aside. Then removed old door seal & inner panel with electric drill & screw bit being careful not lose the screws under the fridge. :(
Separated the old door seal from the inner panel (noticing splits & tears at edges & corners) and discarded.
Slipped on new seal to inner panel all the way around. IMPORTANT: Use a hand screw driver for the re-attachment process so as to not over torque the screws. Starting at the middle top screw holes, secure the inner panel & new seal to the door. Next, affix the screw holes at the outside of the top side, then work on the rest being careful to make certain the seal is correctly in place.
Do the same for the other 3 sides doing the side closest to the fridge next, followed by the bottom the outside portion last. Doing the outside portion last is important because you'll need the elbow room to get the last screws in place...maybe even an extra hand.
Make certain seal is working correctly by listening to "sucking" sound made when closing the door.
