After a power outage the user control board on my Samsung WF42H5000AWA2 failed to light up when the power button was pressed. The washer has 3 boards, user control, motor drive and main. The main and motor drive boards had blinking red LED's so my first thought is was the user control board. After reading other reviews on this site I decided to replace the main board first. This was the problem. After replacing the main board the user control board lit up and the washer worked perfectly again.
To replace the main board, unplug the machine, remove the two screws holding the center back panel in place, the boards are located in a plastic housing in the very bottom of the machine below the drum. Remove the two screws to release the board housing. snap open the housing and detach the main from the motor board and unplug all the connectors on the main board. The main board is the larger of the two boards. Reverse to install the new board.
Top notch service from Appliance Parts Pros. Ordered the part shipped next day and it was at my house the next morning. Great service!
