Lura H Newnan , GA October 25, 2014 "se" error code After disconnecting the power cord and wires multiple times and thinking the microwave was fixed, each time the "SE" error code eventually reappeared. I found this control panel/exterior keypad part. It worked! I purchased this part but reused the original "mother board", all the same wiring, and original metal plate that covers the inside of the keypad that goes under the "mother board". The metal plate pops into the control panel, then attach the mother board with 4 screws. Be careful to slip the :mother board " on the underside of two small tabs on one side. If it's not level and flat, you know you have it sitting on top of these tabs. Then plug the Mother board wires back in to microwave. I took a picture of the wires before disconnecting any so I'd know how to reattach. Next insert the Control Panel into two bottom latches on the microwave and screw in at top. Then insert top filter and 2 screws. Plug in the power cord to the microwave and set the clock. That's it, it was remarkably EASY, quick (once problem diagnosed) and inexpensive and is working like a charm. Apparently moisture from cooking underneath the microwave causes the keypad to malfunction. A design flaw in my opinion. But I'm glad to have it repaired! 9 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
