I could have avoided the problem by removing the slides from the unit completely, as you just have to push on a lever and slide the slide out. But I didn't and the slide hit on the door frame as we were bringing the unit in the house, forcing the slide apart. I tried to put it back together for an hour, but it became obvious that a new slide would be quicker. I ordered the slide, and had it in two days. I just slid the slide into the receiver, and installed the bolts attaching the door front to the slides on both sides. Then I installed the basket, and it was done.
