We purchased this dishwasher for our small bungalow style kitchen. After using it probably every other day for seven years, a latch on the dispenser wore down and detergent was no longer released properly. The part showed up a day after ordering it, that was great. The new part looked exactly identical to the old part. As another submitter explained, the front panel of the dishwasher needs to come off. Removing and re attaching the front panel goes much easier with a second set of hands, there is a wiring harness involved that you don't want to have stretched too much. There are about 18 screws involved in the entire swap out, including a bracket around the dispenser (located behind the front panel). Depending on how old your dishwasher is, some of the screws may need liquid wrench or similar to help unfreeze them. When I first looked at the part that came, I saw the gasket and thought maybe the dispenser just pops out of the door. The bracket will not allow the dispenser to pop out of the door. Be sure to pay attention to screws as they are removed as two of them are slightly shorter than the others and need to be returned to the correct holes. The rest of the dispenser itself seemed to be in very good shape and it is too bad that the latch only can't be replaced.
