Detergent door won't stay closed or latch broken? This dishwasher dispenser releases soap and rinse aid during cycles. DIY repair in 20-30 minutes.
Bought the replacement dispenser from APPros.com (of course). The video shows a front control panel, and our dishwasher has the 'hidden' control panel on the top of the door. So here's the difference: 1) You need to take out all the screws, except the two near the latch at the top. The other video shows only taking out the bottom six screws because the remainder of the screws hold the front control panel. I used a couple paint cans with rags on top to hold the corners of the door when... Read more
Dishwasher detergent cup won't stay closed or won't open fully? This soap dispenser lever controls detergent release. DIY repair in 15 minutes.
First replaced the latch, spring, and lever, but no improvement. Very easy repair. Remove front door bottom panel (3 lowest screws from inside of door on left side and right side with #2 Philips screwdriver).
