Took off the inner door panel on the dishwasher, disassembled the catch mechanism and replaced the spring. Reassembled the dishwasher and test ran the unit. The detergent cup lid now stays shut until the proper time in the cycle instead of dumping as soon as the door closes. This makes a huge difference in the manner that the dishes get cleaned. Works good again.
