The Maytag electric dryer had the T stat under the top cover above the heating elements. Unplugged the dryer and released the two locking clips under the front of the dryer and lifted the top and secured the top using a bungee to the cabinet over the dryer. Removed the two screws holding the T Stat to the bracket, disconnected the wires, installed the new stat and wires closedand latched the lid, plugged the dryer in and fired it up, works great. Took maybe 10 mins to change.
