My 2 sons assessed it to determine what the problem was: needs freon? (R-12) or did the thermostat die??? 1 got on line to see if parts were available and the other son set up a manual switch to keep things cool. then when the new thermostat came, which was overnight (wow!!) he looked at the instructions and the thermostat and then removed the manual switch and installed the new one, the whole thing done in 15-20 min.Thank you so much.
We bought this appliance May 24, 1984.
I've been told that appliances are not built this good anymore. That's a big shame!!!!
