Samuel C Monroe , GA February 18, 2019 Stove top worked. No power to oven or broiler. First off, shipping was ridiculously fast. Ordered at 3:30pm EST, shipped same day, and arrived at my house by 10:30am the following day. This was with standard shipping. Granted, the package only was delivered from one state away, but WOW, was not expecting that. Replacement of the control board was much easier than I expected. I truly had it fixed in 15 minutes. The video was pretty much spot on. I user a single edged razor blade to carefully go around the edge of the overlay and remove it from the original control board. It easily stuck to the new control board once I centered it and pressed around the edge. No need for new adhesive. I would have ordered a new overlay as well, but at $42 for the black one, I was going to try reusing the old one first. It looks perfect. I also replaced the rear drawer glides as they were both broken off as well. Drawer works good as new. I googled and found a video on this as well. At almost $5 each, I wanted to make sure I was installing them correctly and didn't want to chance breaking one. Local appliance repair place quoted me $360 to replace the control board. I was able to repair the control board, and drawer for under $220 with shipping, tax, and a few minutes of my time. If I were going to have to put $360 into the oven, I would have replaced the whole appliance first. I will be back next time I need parts for a simple or more complicated appliance repair. I recently replaced a dishwasher that obviously had a similar problem. Electronics were acting 'wonky' and it wouldn't start a cycle. Now wish I had done a little research and tried to repair it myself as well. 18 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
