I bought the element after reading that this is the most likely problem instead of checking the switch first. Then followed the directions that I pulled off the internet. I had it fixed in less than 25 minutes. The hardest part was making sure all of the wires were correct and the screws were not overtightened. Very easy job. I don't know why I waited so long to do it.
