After doing some searching I found owners having similar problems with their on off switches not working. Most had noticed after opening up the door panel and seeing burn marks on the ribbon cable from the panel control. After doing the same on my unit I notice burn marks as well. The remedy seemed to be replace the panel control so I ordered a replacement. When it arrived installed the new panel and that fixed the problem. The dishwasher is now working like new!
