Robert F Lawrenceburg , IN March 20, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB8851AWS10 On off switch on the control panel stopped working After doing some searching I found owners having similar problems with their on off switches not working. Most had noticed after opening up the door panel and seeing burn marks on the ribbon cable from the panel control. After doing the same on my unit I notice burn marks as well. The remedy seemed to be replace the panel control so I ordered a replacement. When it arrived installed the new panel and that fixed the problem. The dishwasher is now working like new! Thanks to Appliance Parts Pros.com, I was able to be confident to order the right part and fix it. The only tool needed was a screwdriver with a torx drive bit. If you are uncomfortable doing things like this just take photos as you take things apart. I also watched a YouTube video on how to replace it and realized it was a simple repair that I could do myself. I live chatted with an Appliance Parts Pro agent to ensure I ordered the correct part.
