Robert F Lawrenceburg , IN March 20, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB8851AWS10 On off switch on the control panel stopped working After doing some searching I found owners having similar problems with their on off switches not working. Most had noticed after opening up the door panel and seeing burn marks on the ribbon cable from the panel control. After doing the same on my unit I notice burn marks as well. The remedy seemed to be replace the panel control so I ordered a replacement. When it arrived installed the new panel and that fixed the problem. The dishwasher is now working like new! The control panel lasts for 1 to 2 years, I've replaced the control panel multiple times. Doing this fixed the issue. Read More...
