I checked the ignitor and it was glowing orange/red in color, but the gas valve was not opening. Through on-line videos I found out that the ignitor can still be defective even if it is glowing. It needs to glow near "white hot" and draw approximately 3.3 amps before the gas safety valve will open. I used an "Amprobe" to measure the current and it read 2.7 amps (borderline). Since the part was relatively inexpensive I decided to replace it and see if that was the problem - which it was. In my oven the removal of the old part and installation of the new was not difficult. Two ceramic wire nuts are also provided to attach the existing connector to the wires.
The part was delivered in one day! - Thank you Appliance Parts Pros.
