Looked up problem on Appliance Parts Pros - saw the convenient video which I watched - that confirmed my thoughts on it being a timer. Ordered new timer from Appliance Parts. Delivered "fast" on time and in good shape.
Had a little trouble installing the new timer's knob because I had left out a step to reset the inner post on the timer to allow the knob to go over the stem. Soooo re-watched the video and no problems when I followed the easy steps. My Bad!!!
