I spent some time perusing the common problems on this website that seemed to relate to my issues. I looked at the recommended repair parts and watched the videos on how to access and replace each part.
The videos were key. I would have eventually figured it out but glad I didn't have to go through the process.
Once the parts arrived, I watched the videos again and went to work.
I changed the clutch assembly, brake shoes and agitator dogs. The brake shoes were the most challenging. Simply because of the amount of disassembly required to do the job correctly. Again the video made this much easier.
I took my time and inspected everything along the way looking for other potential issues and cleaning. I only wanted to do this once so it took me twice as long as it would have but I do not mind. I have a better understanding of how this machine operates now.
2 hours later I had it back together and plugged in. Put in a small test load was was blown away at how quiet and powerful it was. Agitates like never before and the spin cycle is amazing! Clothes are almost dry. I never had that much water removed before.
I have had issues with this washer several times since I bought it used a few years ago. I have spent 3 times what it cost me for all the parts from your site on repairs I now know I could have done myself. I will never spend another dime hiring a repair person without looking on appliancepartspros.com first.
