Robert O Paducah , KY May 27, 2016 Washer timer failure Replaced the washer timer. I have been able to coax a bit more life out of these timers by using electrical cleaner and/or emery paper. Cleaning is only borrowing time though. I have replaced this same part three times now, but over a (roughly) 12 year period of time and nearly daily use. Not very difficult. I would rather keep fixing this older unit than pay a service tech big dollars to repair a newer unit. (Typical experiences of friends and family members.) I also clean and store the old timer so I can use it temporarily while a replacement ships. 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
