Ordered the dampeners from Appliance Parts Pro. Took the LG washer apart to replace the dampeners, which was not difficult with the video that I found on the web site (found it under a different part, though). Discovered that the bottom balance weight was in two pieces, one lying on the washer floor. Had to order it from a different source that had it in stock. Thought I would order the top balance weight as well while I had everything "open", only to find out that the part is no longer available. This washer is less than three years old!! Anyway, I cemented the cracked plastic cover on the top weight and wrapped it with duct tape to alleviate stress on the cover. Put it all back together and the washer works like new..... Considerably more quiet and hardly any vibration, even with a heavy load.
