I purchased the water inlet valve assembly for my Maytag washer. After studying videos of replacing the assembly for both the Maytag and Whirlpool washers, I collected the recommended tools and began the replacement. I had a problem opening the top because the procedure for the Maytag was to release tabs on the front. This didn't work so I tried the Whirlpool approach, remove two screws in the back and slide the top forward, which worked great. After that it was easy to remove the hoses and the connections in the back. Take pictures before doing both so you get them right. The videos were very helpful. Put everything back in reverse order and you should be good to go. It took about an hour to do the job but now I could cut that down but 15-20 minutes.
