After looking at some of the write-ups on Appliance Parts Pros, I narrowed the problem down to three possible areas. I didn't want to buy all three parts, so I overthought the problem until I finally took the top off the washer to see if I could get a closer look at anything obvious. When I turned the top over to set it on the dryer, I spotted a small book taped to the inside of the top. It was a service tech's manual with error codes and troubleshooting procedures. I looked through the codes and found E1F1 and it said that the problem was in the Electronic Control Board. I ordered one, and after it arrived, I installed it and the machine works great. The biggest issue I had was that it took almost 2 months to get the part. Lots of Laundry Mat visits. Also, I highly recommend that before you remove the old part, take several photos on your cell phone of the wiring; that helped a lot.
