William Q Richmond , VA May 15, 2017 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WFW94HEXW2 Whirlpool front loading washer stopped in mid cycle with an f06/f02 error code The F06/F02 Error Code indicated that there was a communication problem between the Electronic Control Board and the Motor Control Board. Because the code did not identify which board was most likely the culprit, I ordered both. Because the case for the Motor Control Board showed evidence of small burn marks (although none appeared on the board itself), I replaced that board first and that completely solved the problem. There was no need to replace the Electronic Control Board. Read More... 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
Gilbert A Lacey , WA March 20, 2022 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WFW94HEXW2 Our Whirlpool Duet front loading washer stopped working and was giving an error code of e1 f1 After looking at some of the write-ups on Appliance Parts Pros, I narrowed the problem down to three possible areas. I didn't want to buy all three parts, so I overthought the problem until I finally took the top off the washer to see if I could get a closer look at anything obvious. When I turned the top over to set it on the dryer, I spotted a small book taped to the inside of the top. It was a service tech's manual with error codes and troubleshooting procedures. I looked through the codes and found E1F1 and it said that the problem was in the Electronic Control Board. I ordered one, and after it arrived, I installed it and the machine works great. The biggest issue I had was that it took almost 2 months to get the part. Lots of Laundry Mat visits. Also, I highly recommend that before you remove the old part, take several photos on your cell phone of the wiring; that helped a lot. Donald K San Antonio , TX January 02, 2023 Error code e01 f01. Ordered and overnighted a new Electronic Control Board. Ensure you watch the video just because the unit is not screwed-mounted but has tabs and slots cut into the sheet metal. Prying off would bend up the sheet metal. The only issue is AppliancePartsPros.com doesn't accept the core return of $60 other sites offered but I wanted/needed the part so I paid the extra and kept the core. Read More... Terry P Soquel , CA November 26, 2022 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WFW94HEXL2 Whirlpool washer wfw94hexl. It would power up, chime then immediately turn itself off. After multiple attempts it might start a cycle. First, I described symptoms to APP in the question section of the website. First diagnosis and answer were said to be the User Interface Board #W10455538 (which was out of stock, no longer manufactured). I found that part eventually at another site and installed. Did not solve the issue and same symptoms. Luckily, I was able to return that part. Recontacted APP and advised them of this and asked what the next thing might be to try. The response was the Main Control Board #W10427967 which was in stock. I made the purchase and, using the very helpful APP video, I installed the part. As of this writing and about 10 loads, the washer has worked properly each time. Hopefully the issue is now resolved. APP was very responsive and the videos they produce are very helpful.
