This is a relay that is an essential component of many generators made by Generac. The main responsibility of the relay is to turn off and on the starter circuit without the need to be wired into that component. This prevents the need to use heavy-duty wires to connect components to the starter switch. A well-functioning relay can prevent electric shocks and ensure the generator stays in good shape for a longer period of time. If the relay is malfunctioning or damaged, it may cause the generator to stop operating.
