Tractor won't start or shuts off unexpectedly? This safety switch prevents operation when safety conditions aren't met. Simple 15-minute fix.
This is a simple set of lawnmower ignition keys. They’re also used for an array of riding mowers, lawn tractors, and even snowblowers. To simplify repair and replacement procedures, most manufacturers use standardized keys for all their machines in a given class. As a result, a single key can be used for dozens of machines. The keys are manufactured from stainless steel, with an INDAK logo stamped into the center. Regardless of whether the machine is a walk-behind mower or a full-sized lawn tractor, a keyed ignition is easier to operate than a recoil cord. Similarly, replacing a key is generally straightforward. The exception is if the old key has snapped off in the ignition. In this case, a set of needle-nosed pliers can sometimes be used to extract the key. A powerful magnet can also be helpful if the broken key is being stubborn. In the worst-case scenario, the ignition may need to be replaced. This is an OEM part sourced directly from MTD, and it is sold as a set of two.
The ignition switch is the part of lawn and garden equipment that features an ignition to turn on and off with a switch. These are common on lawn tractors, as well as some lawn mowers, wood chippers, tillers, and log splitters. While these switches tend to be robust, they may eventually wear out. Some might have a mechanical failure after being used for years. Others might have electrical issues. Regardless of the reason for the failure, they will need to be replaced to continue using the machine. This is a genuine OEM part that is sold individually. It is a complete kit, which will include not only the switch, but also a washer and nut to secure the switch into the housing, and two ignition keys. The ignition switch can work with lawn tractors from brands such as MTD, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard Machines, and Craftsman.
Headlights won't turn on or off on your lawn tractor? This headlamp switch mounts on the dash panel to control tractor headlamp operation. Easy install.
Replace a cracked, broken, or non-functioning ammeter gauge on your lawn tractor. Installs on the dashboard to display battery charge levels.
Here is a replacement 12-volt headlamp that can be used with certain types of lawn and garden equipment. The headlamp, sometimes called a headlight or a lightbulb, is used on the front of the machine. It is similar to headlights in a car and will allow the user to continue using the machine in low light or even dark conditions. The headlamp can suffer damage just like any other lightbulb. It will wear out over time and will need to be replaced. It could also be damaged if the machine runs over or into an object. The headlamp replacement is simple and should take most people only a few minutes to complete. Many buyers like to have a couple of replacement bulbs on hand just in case. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sold individually. It will work on many models of snowblowers and lawn tractor. Compatible brands include Craftsman, Toro, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Murray, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Montgomery Wards, Bolens, Yard-Man, and MasterCut.
