This self-tapping hex screw is designed to be used on various components of lawnmowers and snowblowers. It can also be used for many other things that require a self-tapping screw. It can secure wood, metal, brick, and plastic materials together. Self-tapping hex screws do not require a pilot hole as the screw makes it on its own. Only metal will require a pre-drilled hole to use the hex screw.A quick visual inspection will give insight into whether a hex screw needs to be replaced.
