This is a rotating screen that protects the lawnmower engine from debris and dirt that could damage the engine. It is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on a variety of lawnmowers. If the screen becomes damaged or broken, dirt and debris could damage the engine or other critical parts. Without the screen, small animals and insects, like little birds and bees, could get inside the engine cavity and make nests. This could be detrimental to the engine and to the animal. During the inspection, if the screen is found to be damaged, it should be removed and replaced. A Torx driver is needed to remove the screen. Wear work gloves and make sure the spark plug has been removed from the lawnmower. Remove the Torx screws and set them aside for use on the new rotating screen. After removing the screws, the blower housing has to be removed in order to remove the screen. After the screen is removed, clean the engine cavity with a blower to remove any dirt or debris. Install the new cover, then reinstall the blower housing and spark plug. This rotating screen is made of durable black plastic and is sold as an individual part. It is designed for use on lawnmowers manufactured by Toro, Briggs & Stratton, MTD, and Craftsman.

Nut

By: Midwest Engine

This replacement part is a nut, and it is intended for use in different types of lawn equipment. This is a genuine replacement part made by Midwest Engine. A nut is a small, metal fastener that is usually connected to a threaded hole. Nuts are typically used along with a mating bolt so that it is able to fasten multiple parts together. A new nut might be needed if the user notices that the current ones are missing or damaged in any way. Though it is small, the nut is an important part of many types of machinery and can cause different parts to stop working or to not work as efficiently if the nuts are not in proper working condition. Be sure the machine is completely powered off before attempting to replace any parts. This small nut is sold individually, and it is intended for use in appliances made by Midwest Engine. This nut is an OEM replacement part.

Flange screws have a flange located near the top of the screw, which helps to distribute the connection force over a larger area to reduce potential damage to the machine. It also allows the screws to be used in oversized or irregular holes, and it helps to ensure they stay in place. This flange screw also has a hex top. Screws can last for a long time. However, they may become corroded or worn over time and need to be replaced. They could also become lost and need a replacement. Without all of the screws in the proper places in a machine, it could vibrate too much, which could render it less effective or unsafe to use. The flange screw is a genuine OEM part that can be used with many types of machines including lawn mowers, snowblowers, tillers, pressure washers, leaf blowers, generators, wood chippers, and other small engines. The screws are compatible with Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Toro, Cub Cadet, Murray, Lawn-Boy, Snapper, Simplicity, and MTD.

This is a replacement ignition coil that is used in various types of small engines. Other names for this part include the ignition module and armature-magneto. The purpose of the ignition coil is to provide electric current for the ignition system. This electrical current is then sent to the spark plugs, which allow the engine to start. The ignition coil is made from metal, but it is surrounded by rubber insulation. The ignition coil can start to wear out over time. It could become damaged due to corrosion or simply because of wear and tear. If the coil has problems, the engine will have trouble starting. Sometimes, it will not start at all. The owner will want to replace the ignition coil at the earliest signs of trouble. This genuine OEM replacement ignition coil is sold individually. It does not come with a spark plug boot, which can be purchased separately for those who need it. The ignition coil can work with the engines of many models of lawn mowers, as well as other small engines. Compatible brands include Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Cub Cadet, MTD, and Simplicity.

This starter drive is a part of the starter system that helps to engage the engine. When it is energized, the gears are activated and turned, which engages the flywheel and starts the engine. This is a critical step in the firing process and lawn equipment will not run if the starter goes bad. Over time, gears can wear out and other damage can occur, resulting in a need for a replacement of the entire assembly or certain parts. It is generally easier to replace the entire assembly. This OEM replacement electric starter drive kit is designed for use with select Briggs & Stratton engines that can be found on various equipment, including lawn tractors and lawn mowers. The kit features a new style starter along with a retainer, composite drive gear, starter gear, return spring, retention plate, clutch drive, and the washer and clip to ensure a secure attachment of all parts. It is important to disconnect the spark plug before working on engine components. This starter drive kit is sold as a single unit and comes with a total of nine pieces.

If the spark plug connection seems weak or if the existing boot is damaged, this replacement could provide the solution. This durable rubber boot will insulate the spark plugs and help any small engine run better. This spark plug boot replacement can be used with a number of Briggs & Stratton engines and is compatible with hundreds of different machines from Toro, Lawn-Boy, and Briggs & Stratton. This boot replacement is sold individually as a single piece and does not include the terminal or any other housing or materials.

This is a genuine replacement ring gear screw for Briggs & Stratton lawn tractors. It attaches the ring gear to the starter assembly which allows the flywheel to move and turn the engine. The ring gear screw is constructed of heavy-duty steel. It rarely falters on its own. However, the ring gear itself can wear down or malfunction.Replacing the ring gear screw is a delicate process, simply because of what must be disassembled to access it. Depending on the engine model, the entire starter assembly may need to be disassembled to access the ring gear screw. This is a genuine OEM replacement part which is sold individually and is compatible with many Briggs & Stratton engine models on Cub Cadet, Toro, and other brands of lawn mowers.

A pinion gear is a small cylindrical component that is integral with a rack and pinion mechanism. Together with the rack, its primary function is to transform rotational movement into linear motion. Machines like lawnmowers and lawn tractors have a rack and pinion system. When the steering wheel of a tractor is moved, the gear will rotate, which engages the rack. Although this component is exceptionally durable, it is still subject to wear and tear. Some symptoms of a bad rack and gear mechanism include a loose or tight steering wheel and a grinding noise. Performing a do-it-yourself rack and gear replacement is possible and takes only 30 to 45 minutes. If the rack is in good condition, but the gear is not, omly a pinion gear replacement may be needed. This brand-new, genuine Midwest Engine 695708 pinion ensures quality and compatibility with lawn tractors, generators, mowers, and engines from Midwest Engine, Briggs & Stratton, and Craftsman. The gear is sold individually. An original Midwest Engine Gear Ring is not included.

This brush retainer is part of the starter motor on many types of lawn and garden machinery. It comes with both the retainer and a set of four brushes. The main job of the brush retainer is to hold a set of carbon brushes against the commutator bars located on the armature. If the brush retainer is worn, damaged, or improperly seated, it can cause problems with the equipment. The starter motor will not be able to get the proper amount of current from the battery. If the brush retainer might be causing problems, a visual inspection can be performed. A damaged brush retainer can wear down to the wire lead and become burned, pitted, or cracked. When the brush retainer is worn out, it can decrease engine performance, reduce braking, and cause the motor to lose power. This brush retainer is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual part. The retainer is made to be used with lawnmowers, snowblowers, tillers, and wood chippers created by Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Toro, Cub Cadet, Lawn-Boy, Snapper, MTD, and Simplicity.
