This is an exhaust gasket designed to fit between the engine exhaust and the exhaust system. It’s designed for use on lawn tractors and is the OEM part for many tractors in the Briggs & Stratton family of brands. When properly installed, it will prevent exhaust leakage. It will also flex enough to allow for parts expanding due to heat. The main symptom of a failed gasket is exhaust leaking from the joint. Gaskets can fail due to a variety of factors.
