Kevin Scott W Parker , CO January 09, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Frigidaire/Electric Wall Oven PLEB30T8CCB The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old one. Unbeknownst to us, that one inch was very important as, some of the insulation had moved around and exposed metal that the back of the element was pushing up against. So as soon as we turned it one it was metal on metal and it burned the connectors right off. After a couple connectors blew off and we put our fingers back there and could feel the metal, we figured out what was going on and we were able to find a work around so there was no more metal on metal and the oven works great! So we had two issues, the original was the board was out and then our own made problem of to short of ends on the element. Franklin S Friendswood , TX March 15, 2014 Upper oven control board failure I called appliance parts pros, provided the symptoms of he oven and repairs previously made. The technician recommended testing the temperature probe prions to buying a new item. I tested the probe which tested good. The technician told me the problem was the upper oven control board and provided the part number. I ordered the part, installed the part and tested the oven. I do not know the last time the upper oven worked this well. Thanks! Andy S Kingsport , TN September 22, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Frigidaire/Electric Wall Oven GLEB27T8ABA Relay boards on both wall ovens were bad baking element on both ovens would not work Andrew helped me trouble shoot the problem. First I replaced the elments but that did not fix the problem. When I spoke with Andrew he told me how to test the OHMS on the new and old element and they were both readying 26 OHMS. I then replaced the control panel for the clock and oven controls. This did not fix the problem. The next step was to replace the relay boards. We placed numbers on the wires (~30) to avoid confusion. Taking notes also helped. Replacing both relay swithces took less than an hour and the oven is working properly. AppliancePartsPros have been great to work with. Read More... 13 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

James Y Elon , NC February 17, 2017 Upper oven not working Broiler on upper oven stopped working. A few months later the bake element quit working too. Replaced relay board and it fixed the problem. Replacing the board was easy. Repair took about 20 minutes. Hardest part was getting the oven in and out of the cabinet. The relay board is on top of the oven underneath a metal panel. The oven had to be completely removed from the cabinet and sat on the floor to access the relay board.
