Alan B Lexington , NC February 06, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FEFL79DBH Blown out broil element Pulled stove out from wall and unplugged for safety, removed back cover to check for any wire damage because the element blew out pretty bad but wiring was ok, removed wires from broil element at the back of the stove. Went to the front of the stove opened door and removed hangers and finally the element screws on broil element. While cleaning I found a 1 inch chunk of the broiler element lying in the bottom so I'm glad I made the extra effort to clean it. After cleaning, I replaced the bottom and top elements remounted the hangers for the broiler, went to the back and put the wires back on elements and replaced the stove back panel. Plugged it in and tested both elements worked fine. Read More... 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers
